Recent Mandarin Oriental Miami Review: "We recently spent 4 nights at the Mandarin Oriental and really enjoyed our stay. It's a lovely property and is sited so that from the pool and mini beach you view the bay and don't see the condos that share the key. Our room overlooked the key and the bay (mid range in price/view) and offered all the expected amenities: large flat screen TV, Bose radio, multiple outlets on desk for electronics, balcony, sofa, large immaculately clean bathroom, etc. The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. (Without that annoying "my pleasure" that you get at certain other hotels.)
The Mandarin is well located in a central Miami location so that you can access Miami Beach to the North or Key Biscayne parks and the Everglades or Keys to the South. We had a rental car and definitely needed it for all of our activities, but the parking fee might be a consideration for some travelers.
Because we were touring Miami and catching up with family we did not dine at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food.
My only complaint was the relatively high internet fee. I was surprised because many upper end hotels now comp internet. We just avoided it by using our iPhones.
I would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to friends."
